We aren’t blessed with a high-tech (or even reliable) oven/range, but — don’t make me turn this car around! — we are going to eat something special on the first day of the new year, circumstances be damned. Made precisely as Our Lord and Savior Deb Perelman intended, and instructed. (Deb’s looked better, but she’s a professional food blogger, and I’m a person who needs blogging to be reduced to its simplest, most sustainable form: photo-based; can be done from my phone before I lose interest.)
